Exploration and development research
The Exploration and Development Research Center has three branches of research departments: exploration, development, and technology. It is equipped with seismic interpretation systems such as Landmark, numerical simulation software such as Eclipse and Direct, and can undertake comprehensive geological research, oil and gas field development plan planning, zone exploration, and rolling exploration planning and deployment in the exploration and development process of oil and gas basins. It can also prepare production capacity construction plans for new and old areas, as well as various production increase measures and engineering technology supporting projects in oilfield exploration and development.

ODT has a comprehensive technology research and development system and professional R&D team. It has established technology research and development centers and research laboratories in multiple global locations such as Dongying in China, Houston in the United States, Jakarta in Indonesia, and Dammam in Saudi Arabia. The annual research investment exceeds 5% of the company's annual revenue.
Odong has maintained long-term academic exchanges and project cooperation with well-known universities and research institutes at home and abroad, such as China University of Petroleum (East China), China University of Geosciences, Southwest Petroleum University, Chengdu University of Technology, Shandong Institute of Petrochemical Technology, China Academy of Petrochemical Sciences, Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shengli Oilfield Geological Research Institute, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Mining in Saudi Arabia, Texas A&M University in the United States, and Durham University in the United States.
Our R&D team has developed over 200 products and technologies in the past 15 years, which have been approved by Saudi Aramco ADNOC, PERTAMINA, Sinopec, PetroChina, Chevron, and others PETROGAS、TAQA、 Many leading oil companies such as CNOOC have successfully applied many unique technologies.
